Dear Gen Xer,
Last week we traveled back to Seattle ’92 to catch a kickass live show. Your choices were:
Pearl Jam
Soundgarden
Alice in Chains
Nirvana
And the winner, with a whopping 55% of the vote, is…
Apparently most of you Smell Like Teen Spirit. You might want to consult your doctor about that.
And now, the moment that shot J.R. in cold blood…
The Gen X Jukebox Question of the Week!
What would you rather be doing right now?
I’m from NJ and attended the same HS as Jon Bon Jovi (years after he was already famous) so I’m legally, morally, ethically, and spiritually bound to choose Livin’ On A Prayer.
It’s not really a bad song, and it captures a sort of working class angst that is more relatable to me than Bruce Springsteen. I enjoy Bon Jovi’s music and owned a few of their cassette tapes back in the day
Sonny, these are so fun, thank you!
I hate that Katrina and the Waves song, and the Tears For Fears song is meh. I LOVE Judas Priest but that song never quite rang my bell. So, deep breath, “Johnny used to work on docks” it is! Not even a fan of Bon Jovi, but that’s a classic!
