Dear Gen Xer,
Last week I asked you which 90’s soundtrack ruled. Slugging it out until the end were Trainspotting and Singles.
The difference between 1st and 2nd place turned out to be one measly percentage point. Alas, there can only be one winner.
And that winner is…
Singles!
Great bands, great soundtrack, and I can’t be the only one who had a crush on Bridget Fonda. I remember I had this dream once where she and I were all alone in the back of an Orange Julius…
…You know what? Nevermind.
Let’s move on to the Gen X Jukebox Question of the Week!
The year is 1983. The dishes are done. So is your homework. Time to plant your butt where it belongs: in front of your glorious television.
Some of the season’s most popular shows are on tonight. But which one has your favorite theme song?
It has to be Knight Rider. I loved the Jeffersons too, but the KR theme is like nothing else, and it really puts into perspective how fantastic a song it is when you hear that Panjabi MC song 'Mundian To Bach Ke' where the backing track is the Knight Rider theme played on traditional instruments.
The theme from Greatest American Hero! I love that song so much. I listened for it on the radio and try to write down all of the lyrics.
